I was born in Stavanger in 1969, and my current residence is in Nissedal, Telemark, Norway. After attending the Writers Academy in Bø 1988, I had my debut as a poet with the book "In the green-shadows" in 1990. I have also been the assistant of photographer Dag Alveng from late 1990 to winter '91/'92, and my first art show as a photographer at Gallery Gahn in Oslo in 1992.
I have published 11 collections of poetry, 7 novels, and translated Michael Palmer's poetry, and several novels.
I am a member of The Norwegian Writers Union. I am also a member of the photographical movement GFSNT, and The Union of Free Photographers associated with The Organization of Norwegian Artists. The last years I have been a guest lecturer at The Writers Academy in Bø, in the topics of poetry and movie-scripts. In addition to have attended several juried art exhibitions, I have also recieved the literary Oktober price and Haldis Moren Vesaas price. I got G.I. in 2009 (Guaranteed Income as an artist from the Department of Culture). 2010 I won the Novel competition from "Leser Søker Bok".
